GIRL ASLEEP
by Rosemary Myers
Synopsis: On the cusp of turning 15, Greta Driscoll is having a hard time fitting in her new town. Between the blonde brats clique, her too-cool-for-school big sister and her outspoken parents, the only person she seems to be able to talk to is Elliott, her weird yet endearing classmate. When her mom decides to throw her a surprise birthday party and invite literally everyone, her biggest teenage fears take over and Greta is flung into a parallel world, a place that’s weirdly erotic, a little bit violent and thor - oughly ludicrous - only there can she find herself. A journey into the absurd, scary and beautiful heart of the teenage mind.
Cast: Bethany Whitmore, Harrison Feldman, Matthew Whittet, Amber McMahon, Eamon Farren, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Imogen Archer & Maiah Stewardson.

“Myers crafts an effervescent yet astute splash of teen life that delights the eyes, warms the heart and tickles the funny bone in equal measure. A mix of quirkiness, nostalgia, theatricality and atipodean humour. Girl Asleep provides one of the most visually striking manifestations of a girl’s passage to maturity in recent years”
